Electrify a New Boat
There are many ways to purchase a Technipower Systems Solomon® Electric Marine Propulsion System for your boat. You can order a new boat with our system as standard equipment from one of the OEM builders (original equipment manufacturers) who now offer Technipower Systems Solomon Electric Marine Proupulsion Systems. Or, if you already have a boat designer and/or builder, ask them for a quote to install Technipower Systems Electric Marine Propulsion Systems for your boat.
Electrify your Current Boat
You can repower your current boat by having your internal combustion engine replaced with the Technipower Solomon system right for your boat’s size and weight by contacting an Technipower authorized dealer/installer near you, an Technipower representative or a qualified marine electrician.
Our sales staff will help you determine the best approach and overall system configuration for your boat. You can fill out the email Request for Information form, send us a narrative description of your boat in a conventional email or call us directly at (727) 859-4447. Ask for our sales department. Our experienced sales team will be glad to assist you and can help you find an authorized dealer/installer near you. If your boat is in an area that does not yet have an Technipower Solomon authorized dealer/installer and you know a marine service center that you feel would make a quality dealer/installer for Technipower Solomon products, forward their name to us and we will move forward with the screening and application process.
Your First Step to Technipower Solomon System Ownership
Before making your first call, go through the following simple procedures as an initial guide in helping you select the Technipower Solomon system and components right for you and your boating lifestyle.
1. Select a motor drive unit that matches your vessel’s weight, length and depth. Look at Motor Drive Specifications and Selected Technipower Solomon Motor Replacements for guidance.
2. Select the appropriate System Configuration based on the kind of boat you have and the way you want to sail it:
3. Check component weights and sizes to see where individual components of our system will best fit in your boat.
4. Determine the propeller diameter and pitch that is best for your boat. Check Selected Technipower Solomon Motor Replacements for typical examples. Also see Prop Size Matters.
5. Determine the kind of prop drive that is best for your boat. Most of the time, our motor's shaft bolts directly to most common motor flanges and the coupling on the existing prop shaft. But some boats may require a change in the angle of the shaft and shaft log to accommodate a larger propeller. Others may require an entirely different type of drive, for example, a straight shaft vs. sail drive or vice versa.
6. Pricing and Ordering. Determine the basic cost of your system from our Sales/Order Form. Consider optional equipment offered with your particular system.
7. Determine who will install your system. A detailed installation manual is available with each order. Contact us or your nearest authorized dealer/installer for installation estimates and timetables. Optional installation services are available and can include removal of existing motor, degreasing and repainting of engine room, and installation of a variety of optional equipment and components including inverter and/or auxiliary generator. 8. Review the Terms/Shipping/Warranty information.
Your Next Step – Obtain a Quote
When you contact us or your authorized Dealer/Installer, our job is to answer your questions and make sure you have the information needed to order the Technipower Solomon system that is right for you. We will provide a quote with the necessary system components to meet your needs, valid for thirty days.
To insure that all customers are able to establish an approximate shipping date and begin the process of scheduling for installation, we reserve a place for you in the production line only when we have received your first payment. Since each customer order is specific to that boat, including such details as motor shaft rotation, equipment circuitry and component options, orders may take from 60 to 90 days for delivery, depending on specifications, stock availability and production schedules.
Placing your Order
Place your order using the easy Sales/Order Form. Complete the form, sign and include your first payment check with order. We can assist you in finding an authorized dealer/installer and will update you on the status of your order.
