Technipower Systems, Inc. (“Technipower” or the “Company”) is a developer and supplier of state-of-the-art power conversion products with a 50-year track record of meeting the demanding power conversion requirements of hundreds of industrial, commercial, and military customers. The Company has a portfolio of intellectual property in electro-mechanical power conversion, electric vehicle drive systems and electrical power conversion. This intellectual property together with the Company’s engineering and operational strength provide Technipower with a springboard to become a leader in the rapidly growing clean energy industry.
Several global trends are driving demand for clean energy, including increased long term power costs, greater awareness and sensitivity to climate change and heightened US energy security concerns. These trends are generating tremendous opportunities for companies able to provide effective clean energy solutions. Technipower is expanding its presence in these markets using its existing technology and product base as a foundation.
While the markets for the Company’s established products are large, the markets for photo voltaic systems, electric marine drive systems and electric vehicle drive systems are considerably larger and growing enormously. Technipower’s existing intellectual property and product portfolio positions it uniquely to capitalize on the current trends and market opportunities in these three markets.
The Company has developed new products and is refocusing existing technology into three growth markets. The Company’s Instant Solar™ products provide economical solutions to enable rapid deployment of small scale photovoltaic systems, both on and off-grid. A factory assembled, ready-to-install solar solution, the product family is initially targeted at ground mounted applications but is also suitable for roof mounted and portable installations. Designed as a highly visible solar product, it will provide low cost market awareness and brand exposure as the Company promotes its image as a clean energy/power conversion technology supplier.
The Company’s Solomon® electric marine propulsion systems have been significantly refined and enhanced to address the growing marine markets. The Company’s previous offering established its Solomon brand as the solution for clean recreational marine power systems. Technipower is now taking this solution into the small commercial marine market. Using a patented system design to provide customers a “plug & play”, green electric propulsion system, the product addresses the large and growing OEM and retrofit markets while incorporating ground breaking motor technology.
Technipower’s patented Electric Transaxle™ technology is disruptive and transformational, directly addressing the movement toward hybrid and pure/plug electric vehicles. The Company’s Universal Drive Train™ can be economically retrofitted to existing vehicles to convert today’s internal combustion engine vehicles to a hybrid electric drive or totally electric drive.
Technipower’s objective is to become a leading supplier of power conversion products to the clean energy markets. It will do that by using its inherent strengths in engineering, manufacturing, marketing and technology development to differentiate itself from the competition and by leveraging its existing technology in power conversion for use in solar, marine and electric vehicle propulsion applications. Incorporating patented inventions, previously developed technology and a breadth of highly skilled and experienced human resources, the Company believes it will achieve substantial sales in these markets over the next three years.
